When Scott worked with Velvet Revolver, the Contraband review

Velvet Revolver (2004) was Weiland's time with guns and roses band-mates  Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums), and  Dave Kushner from a punk band called Wasted Youth. Velvet revolver was a "tour de force", with their music. Very hard rock. There first single off contraband was slither.  First time i saw Weiland since his sour girl video and i was like what happened to him, He was so emaciated. I knew his habits were getting him at his worst, but this is the rock star life. I never bought this CD, because I'm not a Hard Rock fan and really just wanted STP together again. Even though they were a great super-group, Weiland left VR in 2008 to get back with STP.

At the same time the De Leo brothers were working with Richard Patrick (frontman of the band Filter) with their band Army of Anyone. Which wad a pretty good group, I ended up buying their cd.

The one video I dislike is during Weiland's time with VR was Fall to Pieces. To this day  i can't watch this video and not get upset. Seeing this video and reading Scott's memoir later on really brings his addiction issues to full circle. The video show's Weiland's struggle to maintain his relationship with his wife and a graphic depiction of Scott's through an overdose.

VR's Set me Free was used in the movie The Hulk in 2003
